Population control

This article gives simple solutions to reduce child mortality rate, to reduce maternal mortality rate, to reduce number of malnourished children and to control population.

Controlling population should be done in a very positive way. In democratic country like India, putting strict rules to restrict number of children will not work. With a large ancient history, these types of rules are treated as sin. So this problem has to be handled indirectly. We should make people think on their own to have less number of children.

Let government decide how many children a couple can have. It is two per couple in India. Give maximum benefits for first two children and don’t give any benefits for other children. This process of giving benefits is active from the day pregnancy is confirmed till the child completes 5 years.

The benefits that need to be given to mother and child are as follows:

  • For mother, full free medical treatment and nutritious food for complete duration of the pregnancy and 2 years after the delivery.
  • Free bus-pass for mother and an escort for complete duration of the pregnancy and 1 year after the delivery.
  • For the child, full free medical treatment and nutritious food for first 5 years.
  • The registered women get higher priority of medical care at government hospitals.
  • Poor women with gynaecological problem can have special treatment for free before pregnancy.

Rules of the policy

  • A woman can register maximum two times for this benefit.
  • These benefits are applicable only for first two children. If a woman is already having two or more children, she cannot register for these benefits. If a woman has one child, she can take the benefit only for the next child even if she had not utilized the benefit earlier.
  • It has to be decided whether to take the benefit for the current child in first 4 months of pregnancy. This is to avoid abortion after sex determination. After registering for this policy, she loses benefits if the pregnancy is aborted unless because of medical problem. If she waits till the sex determination, she cannot register for the benefits for the current child.
  • There is special consideration of abortion because of medical problem.

These benefits should be applicable to all women irrespective of their economical status (poor or rich). Rich people may not utilize government benefits but they should be offered. With this offer, middle class women also will be benefitted. The process becomes simple as government need not have extra check for economical status.

Benefits to government/country with this policy enforcement:

  • Faster population control. In future, if further population reduction is required, the policy can be made to have single child per couple. People will adopt/accept the policy easily.
  • Reduction in number of malnourished children. Children will grow with strong body and mind. When the children go for education, they can learn effectively. Even if they do not go to school, they will be strong enough to earn their food.
  • After 20 years, they will be strong young citizens with high productivity. They can take care of their family. Number of poor people reduces and burden on government will also reduce. Otherwise, malnourished children will grow as weak bodies with low productivity and they will live as poor for whole life.
  • Poor young women get respect. As all their expenses are taken care by the government, they may get choice of not working in the critical period of pregnancy.
  • Though the bus-pass is given for hospital visits and for work, the poor women can utilize that for visiting parents or other places. The poorest women never cross the village in their life time. The free bus-pass gives opportunity for the poorest woman to visit few tourist places along with her husband. The concept of “She taking her husband to tourist places” gives more value and respect for the women.
  • Reduction in number of abortions after sex determination that reduces gender discrimination
  • Reduction in child mortality rate
  • Reduction in maternal mortality rate

After reading about this process, one question comes in everyone’s mind. People are having children without these benefits now. With this process, they will have 2 children with benefits and then they can have more children with their own cost. How can you say that it will control population?

That is how human mind works. If you are used to get benefits for a particular work and on one day the benefits are stopped suddenly, you feel like avoiding the work. Before the benefits were started, you were doing the work faithfully. In-between you have seen the taste of benefits. So you start demanding benefits for your work. That is how corruption has started.

I will give you one example. One day a person called X goes to his relative’s house. After some time, lot of shouting and abuses are heard from outside. X asks relative about that. The relative says that they are college students who daily come and shout here. We don’t want to fight with them that’s why keeping quite. X gets an idea, goes out from other door. He meets those students as if he came from outside. He tells the students, “Thank you for abusing them. I am very angry with them.  As I am a known person, I cannot shout at them. From today onwards, I will pay you for shouting at them. You please come daily at this time, shout at them and take money”. He gives 100 rupees to them and leaves. The students are very happy. Next day also he comes and gives them 100 rupees. After 4 days, he comes and tells the students, “Dear friends, I cannot pay you anymore. But I am still angry with them. Please continue shouting at them daily as you were doing earlier”. The students say, “Why should we shout to cool your angry. We will shout only if you pay us. Otherwise we will never come here”. X requests them again “Please do it without money”. The students said, “No” and left from there.

Government can also create similar scenario. It can say, “Children are for the country’s future. That’s why we like to take care of them”. Once people start feeling that they are having children to support the country, they can demand benefits. After enjoying benefits two times, the lack of benefits for third child will show a lot of difference.  In parallel, other campaigns will be there to show why having single or double children is better for their family. Poor people feel a major difference between having benefits and not having benefits. Like the fox and sour grapes story, poor people will start thinking why to have more children without benefits now and extra burden later, better to live happily with two children.

To get this result, all benefits should be valuable and accessible to all. Then only they feel the real difference of having benefits.

Polio Treatment

We have a simple, natural and effective treatment for post polio residual paralysis which can enhance the strength and control of muscles, joints and nerves of the affected limbs. This proven treatment guarantees improvement in polio affected limbs without surgery and medicines.

The world has almost reached the target of “Eradicating polio virus”. But it may take one more century to come out of the sights of after-effects of polio if we don’t treat post polio residual paralysis.

Background

Observation based research is done on a polio affected leg for more than 30 years. The research is done to find out exactly what happens in a polio affected leg from the time polio virus attacks a child and till overall growth of the child stops. All the changes in the muscles including pain, weakness, numbness, strength, growth and ability/inability to move are observed carefully and their causes are analysed every time. Huge repetition of changes and their causes in 30 years (10000 days) has helped to derive the cause-effect theory (treatment) of polio (post polio residual paralysis).

Experiments (polio treatment) are done on polio affected leg of a 35 years adult. Hip and knee joints of the leg were affected by polio (poliomyelitis) at age of 3. As this treatment involves only simple movements, meditation is used to observe nerve activity in the leg and other connected body parts. Effect of treatment on each muscle is felt inside daily and results are seen visually after treatment.

The following tables show results of 4 years of polio treatment. The muscle strength is measured on a scale of 5 according to Muscle Strength Grading Scale as follows:

Muscle strength Description
0 No contraction
1 Visible/palpable muscle contraction but no movement
2 Movement with gravity eliminated
3 Movement against gravity only
4 Movement against gravity with some resistance
5 Movement against gravity with full resistance

Changes in muscle strength

Muscle description Muscle strength earlier Muscle strength after 4 years
Hip joint: Front muscle 2 4
Hip joint: Outside muscle 2 4
Hip joint: Inside muscle 2 3
Hip joint: Back muscle 2 3
Knee joint: Front muscle – Sitting position 0 2
Knee joint: Front muscle – Standing position 0 3
Knee joint: Front muscle – Sleeping position 0 1
Knee joint: Back muscle – Sitting position 3 4
Knee joint: Back muscle – Standing position 3 4
Knee joint: Back muscle – Sleeping position 3 4

Muscle growth

Muscle description Earlier After 4 years
Calf circumference 25cm 28cm
Thigh circumference 26cm 42cm
Behind hip joint X X+20cm

In the above treatment, there are multiple 3 to 6 months of planned gaps in the treatment to observe what happens when treatment is stopped. The results are extraordinary. When a muscle is treated till its corresponding nerve is activated, it (the muscle) grows in size and strength without further treatment.

The above results can be achieved in 2 years if continuous treatment is given without gaps.

The approach

The treatment is completely a natural process. It uses only Yoga techniques. Surgery and medicines are not used. It takes few months for the patient to feel reasonable change. It takes about a year or two to show significant visual difference depending on the effort spent.

The treatment involves 3 steps:

  1. Reverse posture technique

The active joints and muscles of a disabled person are at high risk of early wear out because of the imbalance of the body. Yoga defines reverse posture for every posture and movement of all the joints. These reverse postures reduce strain caused by the actual postures.

In this step, we identify all the postures and affected joints of disabled person while sitting, standing, sleeping and moving. And define a set of reverse postures for each joint. The patient is supposed to stay in reverse posture whenever possible or at a predefined interval.

This step is very important for all humans (able or disabled) to reduce wear out of joints.

  1. Stimulating active or live muscles surrounding the disabled joint

When a major muscle of a joint is disabled, the person stops using the joint or putting pressure on the joint. With long inactivity of the joint, all the muscles surrounding the joint never contract thereby lacking blood flow and nutrients. These muscles become very weak and unusable.

In this step, we do simple exercises consciously to increase blood flow and nutrients to the weak muscles.

  1. Stimulating disabled muscles and nerves

After achieving enough strength for surrounding muscles in step 2, we do few special exercises for disabled (or so called dead) muscles. Observation/consciousness is very important in this step. Only the patient can feel the minute change. So we encourage the patient to remember and record the movement that gave little change. The movements that caused change drive future exercise plans of the patient. In this step, a conscious nerve activation process is also performed by stimulating the connected muscles.

Scientific view of the treatment

When polio virus attacks a child, it suspends nerves of few joints. It does not kill nerves as medical science believes. It keeps the nerves in suspended state as long as the virus is active. In this period, the muscles that are controlled by these nerves try to contact the nerves. Without response from the nerve for long time, the muscles assume that the nerve is dead. So the muscles never try to contact the nerve again. After the virus activity stops in the body, the nerves remain in suspended state.

With our polio treatment, disabled muscles can be activated with physical activity and suspended nerves can be activated by stimulating the connected muscles. This is observation-based or consciousness-based research. It has worked successfully.

Future

Many types of paralyses can be treated with this technique. Observation-based research can treat many types of disabilities including blindness.

This treatment is given free of cost for all. Volunteers are welcome who like to learn the treatment and help disabled people at other locations.

Core exercises

The following are initial exercises for a person whose one of the legs is affected by polio. Do these exercises for about 15 minutes daily and note down changes or sensations you feel in the leg. Contact Sitaram Naik after you feel some strength in your leg for next level of exercises or if you have any confusion or need clarification.

Knee muscles – Moving front and back

  • Stand on normal leg
  • Pull/Lift calf (below knee) of the polio affected leg backwards as much as possible
  • Leave it free (Let it come back to normal state)
  • Repeat these two steps

Hip muscles – Front

  • Stand on normal leg
  • Lift polio affected leg (thigh bone) upwards as much as possible
  • Leave it free (Let it fall back to normal)
  • Repeat these two steps

Hip muscles – Side

  • Stand on normal leg
  • Lift polio affected leg (full leg) side ways (away from body) as much as possible
  • Leave it free (Let it fall back to normal)
  • Repeat these two steps
  • You can bend your body to allow the leg to raise very high

Plastic waste

Many countries are banning plastic covers and other plastic items. In developing countries like India with large percentage of poor people, it slows down the development. It is giving major impact on small businesses which have very poor people as customers.

Small restaurants pack wet food items in plastic covers if it is delivered out of restaurant. Those plastic covers are of low quality and trashed on first use. There are many reasons why poor people carry food to home and eat. Very poor people when they cannot cook at home, take one pack of meal and whole family shares. Similarly when poor students go to cities or towns for education, they get packaged food and share. Sharing is not possible at restaurants. These small restaurants encourage packaged food without any extra cost because the place is small for many customers to sit, cleaning and maintenance cost is reduced and the cost of plastic covers is low.

Similar packaging happens at big restaurants also. As the cost of food is high, their customers are relatively richer. So for packaging, these restaurants use plastic boxes instead of plastic covers and they charge for those boxes also. Though customers have paid for those boxes and those boxes can be reused, for their economical status, those boxes are trashed same as free covers.

Small shops who sell household items are also facing the problem with plastic cover ban. If a person is going home from work and plans to buy the required items, he expects a cover from the shop. If the shop keeper does not give a cover or insists the customer to buy the cover, poor people reduce their purchases to fit in their hand and pockets or simply goes to another shop. The customers that go to big shops or shopping complexes do not feel the cost of cover as burden.

Use & though low cost plastic covers help small businesses to run smoothly. Ban on thin plastic covers is burden on poor people.

Instead of banning plastic blindly we can think of other solutions till we find alternative for plastic covers.

Usage of plastic is not a problem. Plastic in garbage or trash is the problem. It is better to solve the problem than banning plastic. If the trashed plastic items are used to create a new product, it will have double advantage. One is that plastic is reduced in garbage and the other is new product.

The new product that can be created with waste plastic material is plastic sand. The plastic covers and other plastic items collected from garbage will be used to create plastic sand. Quality of covers or other items is not important. It does not require big machines to create plastic sand.

For completeness, I am giving a simple procedure to create plastic sand. There may be many better solutions to create it.

  1. Melt the plastic (Don’t burn)
  2. Take a big bowl of water
  3. Pour molten plastic in a filter that has many holes of required size
  4. Keep shaking the filter so that plastic comes down as rain drops and falls in to the water
  5. Another person can stir water with a long stick

Advantages of plastic sand

  • Levelling roads: Lot of mud and sand is used for levelling highways. Sometimes these roads sink when there are heavy rains because the mud underneath gets wet and moves. Plastic sand is best for this purpose. Because it won’t allow the road to sink and the waste plastic is permanently buried.
  • Under the flooring tiles: In every building and in every floor, lot of sand is used to level the flooring tiles. Plastic sand can be mixed with normal (stone) sand to level the flooring tiles. With this, lot of valuable sand can be saved and waste plastic can be consumed.
  • Except in concrete and cement, hardened plastic can be used as sand in all the places where sand is used.
  • Water streams on some mountains are cutting the mountain and carrying lot of valuable soil along with them. Molten plastic can be used to save soil of the mountains.

When demand for plastic sand increases, automatically innovative methods come up to collect waste plastic items at door step.

Letter to NGOs

What is the difference between chess game and tic-tac-toe? Thinking about one step is enough for tic-tac-toe but we need to think about all steps till checkmate to succeed in chess game. Most of the NGOs and government policies are wearing thinking hat of a tic-tac-toe player while dealing with poverty and helping poor people though we need thinking hat of a chess player.

Every NGO should think what the end date of their project is. Whatever project you are doing whether it is improving lives of poor people or it is creating employment or developing country, whatever it is, what is the end date for this? The date, after which you need not spend money or time, you need not work anymore and you can confidently say that it is all done. How many years, you think, will it take for you to confidently say that your project is successful? Do you have clear idea of what will happen after you stop this project? What are you planning to achieve after so many years of your work? Can you mark an area on the country map that was completely improved with your service?

Government is spending lot of money every year for poor people. NGOs are also spending lot of money every year. With all this, if we have improved lives of a small percentage of population of poor people every year, by now the percentage should be reasonably high. When we got independence in India, we said 20% of population is poor. Today, after 65 years, we are still saying that 20% of our population is very poor. Where all this money has gone?
Let me do a simple calculation.

Government’s budget is more than 1 lakh crores every year. All NGOs together are also spending about 1 lakh crores (approximate assumption).

Total money spent is 2 lakh crores = 2,00,000,00,00,000 = 2×10^12

20% of Indian population is poor = 20,00,00,000 = 2×10^8

Money spent per head = 2×10^12 / 2×10^8 = 10^4 = 10,000

Average family size of poor people = 5

(Poor families usually have more than 5 people including parents and children)

So, money spent per poor family = 5 x 10,000 = 50,000
Ask any poor person what is the value of 50,000 rupees. Everybody says if they get 50,000 rupees, they can do small business and live happily forever without depending on others. That means with one year’s budget, we can make all poor people rich. We can improve their lives without spending anything further.

For last 65 years, independent Indian government has been spending so much money every year, still keeping the population of poor people constant. With so much money, India would have become super power long back. After so many years, some of the political parties are saying that they will get maximum majority because they are poor people’s party. They should feel shame to say that.

Why are we unable to reduce poverty? Corruption!? No. Corruption is not the only problem. I feel that corruption affects very small part of development. There is some major flaw in the way we are spending money. There is some major mistake in our plan.

Please don’t come to a conclusion that I am asking you to pay money directly. I know that won’t work. If you give money directly, the next day they will spend all the money and become poor again.

Problem: Distributed service

Distributed service is the problem. When we serve sparsely distributed few people of a large area, none of them get full affect or change in life. If we serve all people of a small area, everyone gets the impact and change in life.

Example: You open a school. Give everything required to students free of cost (food, books, cloths, accommodation, etc). You allow students to come from all over the state or a district. You have a limitation on number students you can have in that school. You provide all the facilities for all the students of that school. They get proper education and they may settle in life. What next? Every year new students come and get education. There is no end for this. You cannot say that after 20 years or after 50 years or after 100 years, you can close the school because your service is sparsely distributed.

Every company or organization is doing some level of charity work. Some companies have adopted few schools and supported financially. Assume that the school gives education from 1st to 5th standard. You give proper food and education to those students for 5 years. What is after that? If government can give proper education from 6th standard, then these students can join government schools and proceed further. But that is not the case. These poor students cannot afford to buy books or go to private schools. So they join government schools and they are same as other students from then. So there is no major change because of your charity work.

Assume that you extended your school for education up to 10th standard. Again same question, what is after that? If colleges give free and proper education, that will help students to grow further. Now college education is a major business. Assume that they completed college education. What is after that? Who will give jobs to them? Without proper employment opportunities and with lot of competition, can these poor students get reasonable income source? If they remain unemployed, what difference your charity work has made in their life?

Making few years of a child’s life better is great. Making a child learn more than what he/she can learn with current situation is great. Making a child understand his/her potential is great. But don’t stop there.

If you alone work, you can change few years of lives of few children. If you join hands with many others, you can change lives of few children completely. That is a permanent change.

Government has restrictions. Its financial plan should cover all sectors of the country. But you are free to decide where to spend your money. You have freedom to plan for results.

Solution: Adopt a village

Adopt a village. One organization may not be able to take care of all the problems of a village. If few organizations join hands and adopt a village, they can take care of all problems of the village including education, health, senior citizens, disability, training, employment and so on. Whatever they do, it should cover whole village. Only then, after a certain time, the whole village gets developed.

Regarding children, NGOs should adopt all children of one village. They need to take responsibility of education, food and employment. Children should get all the support for higher studies. They should get exposed to all job opportunities. If some of the children do not get job, training has to be provided in latest technologies till they get job with reasonable income. When a student gets job, automatically family of that student becomes rich.

After a generation (20 years), the new children who get ready for education are rich children because they are children of rich families. They need not go through the process of free food and free education. These rich children can have separate schools or they can join these schools with reasonable charges. Financial burden on organizations starts reducing. The process can be continued forever. But after another generation, the village (or the students) can support the process financially. So it will be self-sufficient or self-sustainable.

On the country map, you can show that this area (village) of the country is having 100% educated citizens and no poverty. In this process, after a certain time (it can be years or decades); whole country will have fully educated rich citizens.

After financial burden reduces on organizations, they can adopt another village. With this process, after 20 years or after 40 years, the children, their families and all future children will enjoy better life forever. These are exit criteria for organizations. After that, organization need not spend money or time for this process. They are free to take up other projects or stop charity. If the new management of organization is interested in some other type of charity in future, they should have exit criteria to come out of current charity work.

There is no guarantee that the charity work continues after the person who has started the work expires. So we should plan to make every project self-sustainable after a period of time.

World problems

There are about 100 major problems in the world. If every one of us takes one problem, there will be about 70 million people per problem. If every one of us spend one hour to solve the problem, the effort spent will be about 8000 man years. Is there any problem that cannot be solved after spending 8000 man years of effort?

Take one problem. Think about all aspects of the problem. Think how you can solve the problem. When you get the solution for full or part of the problem, share it with the world. Your solution may not be the best solution. But it is one of the few solutions. Each problem has many facets. None of us can see all facets of the problem. So, none of the solutions will cover complete problem. We need to take union of many solutions to cover and solve complete problem.

Remember the quotation: You never know what you see when you see from other’s point of view.

A facet of the problem that you have seen may not be visible to others. So your solution may be a key to the final solution. Share it.

We should make government depend on intellectuals and professionals for better solutions. Whenever government/nation is in crisis, instead of criticising government, join hands with many intellectuals, do brain storming and come up with a proper solution. Share the solution with all sections of people, collect the comments and improve the solution. Repeat this process as many times as required. Then share the final solution with the government. Listen to their comments and possible issues. After getting approval of many sections of people, making government implement the solution is not a big task.

You have all the powers to change the world. You have all the powers to improve quality of your future. Your every effort is counted.

Your capabilities

If you are a healthy person, you are better than millions of people that are suffering from various diseases.

If you are a blind person, just think what all you can do. You can walk in your house and find everything you need without seeing them. Can a normal person do this by closing his/her eyes? They can argue that if they practice they can also do it. Forget about that. Today, can they do it? No. That means you are better than many millions of people.

A physical handicapped person with polio in one leg can stand on single leg for 10 hours (or few hours). Can a normal person do it? A paralysed person can sleep on bed without any movement for many days. Can a normal person sleep without any movement for one day?

Every person is better than many people in some way or the other. Fish is better in swimming and monkey is better in climbing. Fish should not think that it is worst in climbing trees. Monkey should not think that it could not swim like a fish.

Every person should think about what they have. How to utilize them? Show the world that you can also do something with what you have. Show the world that you are better than many other people in whatever you know.

A person who does not have hands is using leg fingers to write and draw. A normal person cannot hold a pen with leg fingers for few seconds. Use whatever you have to show that you are better than others.

Assume that you cannot move any of your body parts but you can speak. That voice is enough to give solutions to all the problems. Assume that even voice is not there (so-called coma state). Still you can do a lot of things. Use mind power to understand what others are doing and instruct other’s mind to do what you want.

Thinking of “you can do nothing” is wrong. There are infinite things that you can do. You just need to choose what you want to do. You will automatically get all the energy and support you want from your mind.

Take myself as an example

  • I am better than 99% of students of our school in mathematics
  • I am better than whole university in C programming
  • I am better than 7 billion people in this world in treating polio or at least better than all medical professionals who believe that polio cannot be cured
  • I am better than all people who don’t share their ideas with the world

You need not be best in all subjects to be a great student.

You need not solve all problems of the world to be a great person. If you have solved at least one problem that others did not solve, you are a great person.

You need not have great ideas to share. The idea which you feel that works is enough.

I respect you because you are better than many other people. Do you respect yourself? Think about it. You are better, you are great and you know it. So you need to respect yourself. That is called self-respect.

Now you respect yourself. So you do something for you. Do exercises to be active and healthy. Cure your diseases and reduce laziness. Concentrate on your work so that you do it right at first time and save time. When you are active, healthy and conscious, you save a lot of time every day. You can use that time for yourself, your loved-ones and society also. When you get more time, you can do better work and more work without getting tired. That directly gives you more income and also gives you more opportunities to help others.

This is your world. You need to make it better. Then you will live in a better world. When you help your family member or your friend or a stranger or a nation or the nature, everything directly or indirectly helps you to live better.

Inherited diseases

There is nothing like disease inheritance. A child cannot inherit a disease from parent. Only thing possible is disease transmission through blood, which can happen when child is in mother’s womb. All other diseases that parents had before and after pregnancy period will not reach the child.

The so-called genetically transmitted disease can come only through DNA. DNA has information only about body structure and major functionalities of the body. It cannot have disease information of the body. When disease information is not recorded in parents DNA, how can it pass that information to child through DNA?

Medical science listed many diseases under genetically transmitted diseases. What are these diseases? How could Medical science call them as genetically transmitted diseases? Answer is simple. Medical science uses statistics as evidence when it cannot find root cause of a problem. It uses statistics as evidence for some of the treatments also.

Statistics can only give the history and pattern of the problem. It cannot give the root cause of the problem.

Let me give you an example of statistics: Car and ice cream problem

There is a family in a small town. They have one old car. Every Sunday after lunch, all family members eat ice cream. There is an ice cream shop about 1 KM from the family’s house. Every Sunday whole family decides the flavour of ice cream to eat and the family head goes to the ice cream shop by their car and brings family pack ice cream of the decided flavour.

Every week the family head, starts the car, goes to the shop, parks car, buys ice cream, comes back to car, starts car and comes back to home. One time the family decided to eat Vanilla flavour ice cream. As usual, family head went to the shop, parked the car, bought ice cream, came back to car and tried to start the car. It did not start. After 10 to 15 minutes of trials, the car started. He thought that car might have some problem. He ignored this incident as car worked. Next week he bought some other flavour of ice cream, he expected same problem with the car but to his surprise, it started normally.

For few weeks, car was fine. One-day family decided vanilla flavour again. That day car did not start normally. The family head puzzled by this incident and started recording both flavour of ice cream and whether car had starting trouble.

After one year from statistics they found that every time they had vanilla flavour ice cream, the car had starting trouble. For all other flavours of ice cream, the car started without any problem.

From this statistics report, can we conclude that car does not like vanilla flavour ice cream?

When one of parents is having some disease and children get the same disease in 80 to 90% of the cases, then medical science declares it as a genetically transmitted disease.

Some people got these diseases where their parents are healthy for whole life of 90 years. From where did these people get so-called genetically transmitted diseases? Medical science cannot answer this question because it did not include healthy people in their statistics.

The problem

When genes are not transmitting diseases, why are most of the children getting same disease, which their parents and grandparents suffered? It is because of inheritance but not because of DNA inheritance.

Children inherit many things from parents. First and the most important one is the environment. Other things are food habits, life-style, cultural habits, and society conditions and so on. Children will get same heath problems with similar body structure and similar life-style in a similar environment. This is the root cause of all genetically transmitted diseases.

You are living in same environment, eating same food, maintaining same life style and having same tensions so you are getting same health problems.

Assume a child of rich city dweller grows in a forest by eating only fresh fruits and maintaining active life style without any tensions. Will the child get any disease that their parents and grandparents had? If a disease is transmitted through gene or DNA, it should show up sometime in the child’s life.  But that does not happen. When a person changes environment and life style, automatically health problems also change.

In some cases, because of DNA sharing, one may face same problems that his/her parents have. Usually DNA copies body structure of one of the parents to child. If the child ignores the body structure and does physical activities that his/her body structure does not allow, side effects will show up. Example: Body structure of some people does not allow the person to stand/sit straight because of the design of the backbone. With normal physical activity, they may get back pain. Because of back pain, they reduce physical activity and gain fat and body weight (obesity). The obesity can cause many other problems. Their parents and grandparents also might have faced same problems. Though the problems are same, all the problems are caused by life style of the person. Only the body structure is copied from parents to child through DNA but not the problems. If the person understands his/her body structure and does suitable physical exercises, all the future problems can be avoided.

Hence, all so-called genetically transmitted diseases including diabetes and obesity are preventable.

God

God is a belief that someone or something is having power to create, power to cure, power to control, power to change and power to destroy. You keep the belief in something and it becomes god for you. It can be you, other human being, other creature, material or energy.

You can install the god wherever you want. It can be in one place, in multiple places, in multiple people or in multiple creatures. The power of god exactly equals to your belief of what powers He has. The power of each god you install is different because you believe each god is different. And also the power of god differs with respect to each person who installs the god. For example, if two people install the god in one person but their belief of power of god is different. Then the god will demonstrate different power with each one. If the first one believes god has power to cure and the second does not believe in power to cure. Then the god can demonstrate the power to cure only with the first person.

By looking at a god curing someone, if you just want to try your luck, you may not get any change. You need full belief that he can cure your disease. Only then you can feel some change. If you really have 100% belief that someone’s touch can cure your disease, it cures.

Here god man is not important. Belief of the person, who believes that he is god, is important. People worship people, animals, statues, stones, pictures and so on. Which one you treat as god is not important. Only how much you believe in that god is important.

If you install your belief in yourself, you become your god. You will have all the powers that you believe. If you believe that you have power to cure, you can cure your diseases. But you cannot cure diseases of other people till they install belief in you.

Hypnotism also works with similar concept. If you believe that the other person can hypnotise you, you can get hypnotised. If you strongly believe that the other person cannot hypnotise you, you will never get hypnotised.

Mind power

Few gods have shown magic, super natural powers, healing power, material control, mind control, mind reading, lived long, lived without food, shown knowledge and so on. All these are true. Any human being can gain all these powers with high levels of concentration.

Read article on Mind to know what all we can do with mind power.

Note: Though it is possible to gain all the powers, most of the people who are claiming that they have full powers of mind control or material control may be wrong because one can change everything that is happening now if one has mind control and material control.

The people who gained mind control and material control can demonstrate all types of powers. As only your mind can make changes in your body, the people with power of mind-control make you (or your mind) believe that he can make changes in your body. Then your belief allows him to make all changes whether they are healing or damaging.

Belief of the person allows him/her to withstand extreme strain. In this period, body cells get transformed to withstand the strain. If the strain continues for very long time, cells of whole body get transformed. Later that person can live in the strain normally. Saints (yogis) get used to withstand extreme hunger for days and months. When they start very long meditation, they slow down or shutdown most of the body functions thereby reducing energy consumption to a bare minimum. As body cells stay in this condition for a very long time, they get transformed to withstand the strain. After saint comes out of meditation, he/she can live without food or with a minimal food.

Positive and negative beliefs

If we have positive beliefs, we get positive results. If we have negative beliefs, we get negative results.

When child comes home for holidays from studies, mother becomes very happy. The sick mother becomes alright. Here the child has not done anything. The mother strongly believes that she will be happy in child’s presence. That happiness improves her health. Now we can call the child a god but we call it mother’s love because there is a relation. If a stranger’s health improves when the child meets the stranger, then the child will be treated as god though the child has done nothing with the stranger.

It happens with everyone in relation or out of relation. When we meet most loved person, our mental strains come down and physical health improves. We call it love, not god. Same thing happens when we go to temple, church or mosque. We call it god, not love. In both the situations, it is your belief that improves your life. If a holy place really has power, it should give same feeling and improvement for all people that enter it irrespective of their belief.

Similar things happen for negative beliefs also. When you come out of your house, see something and believe it is a bad sign to start your day, then you are anticipating something bad to happen that day. If really something bad happens, your mind accepts/compromises quickly as you are expecting it. With this the bad becomes worst. If you start your day by assuming something good will happen on that day and something bad happens, then your mind tries to change the situation by fighting little longer to make it good. With this the bad remains bad or improves little and becomes good. When some incident happens in your life, it is your belief that decides whether to make it good experience or bad experience.

Other beliefs

In rituals, some people believe very strongly that god comes in somebody’s body. They will be eagerly waiting for that moment. If it does not happen for a long time, their eagerness crosses the tolerance and their mind takes the role of god and control over the body. Usually it stays till people agree for what it says. The person with god in the body does what he/she believes god will do if god is present here. There is a chance of showing super natural powers in this situation. Usually this incident happens when something wrong is done with the god. So the belief is that god comes in someone’s body and tells them to change the wrong thing. Whoever believes it strongly gets vibrations in the body and behaves like a god.

Same thing happens if a person believes that a ghost or demon has taken over his/her body. Usually it happens after the person goes in wrong place like burial ground. Sometimes the person demonstrates scary powers. Because of the powers they demonstrate, people think that the real god or demon has come into the person’s body. If young children see and believe or get scared of this, their body reacts easily with similar triggers in future. The vibrations we get in our body when we hear deep devotional song or very scary incident are also because of our belief in these incidents.

Saint – Demon – God

With power of mind, we can force the god (god’s mind) to appear in front us. If god’s mind does not have body, it may come in someone’s body and talk. But most of the cases, it is an illusion created by our mind. When we believe, god should appear with this level of devotion, our mind creates the illusion to satisfy our belief.

Few examples of god appearance are:

  • Meditation (thapas) and god appearance
  • God reappearance few days after god’s death
  • God appearance for few people that possess deep devotion
  • God appearance in dream
  • God appearance as some other person

When a person meditates to gain a particular power, mind creates an illusion of him/her gaining the power after the person gains enough concentration. Usually people meditate on a particular god to gain super power. When the person gains enough concentration, mind creates the illusion of god’s appearance and interaction. The person can use the power after he/she believes that god has given the power. The power can be a weapon and/or a protection from weapons and people.

When saints meditate to gain concentration, they gain control in a progressive order of mind power. The order is thought process, senses, feelings, emotions, body functions, mind reading, mind control and so on. Read mind article for more. After they get control over senses, feelings and emotions, they see everything is of equal importance in the universe. So after they achieve high levels of concentration and gain super natural powers, they use the powers only for their purpose of life.

But the people who meditate to gain a particular power or a set of powers don’t go through the order of mind power. They concentrate only on the required power and get it. As they don’t have control over their feelings and emotions, they misuse the power and harm other people and creatures. We call them demons.

To protect innocent living creatures from demons, saints who have higher levels of concentration read mind of the demon and understand his/her belief of powers. By finding loopholes in the demon’s belief, the saints develop a person who can reciprocate demon’s powers. We call this person a god. After god is developed and ready, saints send this message to all saints and demons through mind communication. Saints explain very clearly the minor details that are missed while demon has wished for super powers and how these mistakes are taken as advantage to kill the demon. Saints protect god till demon understands that he/she will be killed soon. After multiple attacks on god fail, demon’s belief of death increases. God will attack the demon when demon’s belief of death is at the highest and demon dies.

Every time one or more demons rise with super powers, saints create a god and give their powers. That is how we have so many gods in ancient history of India.

Global warming

Introduction

We cannot solve a problem without understanding the problem. This article starts with clearing the famous myth, “Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is the root cause of global warming”. Then it explains how nature controls temperature on earth, how global warming has started and how humans have aggravated it. It explains role of CO2, clarifies all your doubts and ends with a solution to control global warming.

The famous myth

Most of the scientists believe that CO2 is the root cause of global warming. Read the below example to know how they proved it.

Proof

-12 = -12

9 – 21 = 16 – 28

3^2 – 2*3*(7/2) = 4^2 – 2*4*(7/2)

3^2 – 2*3*(7/2) + (7/2)^2 = 4^2 – 2*4*(7/2) + (7/2)^2

(3 – 7/2)^2 = (4 – 7/2)^2

3 – 7/2 = 4 – 7/2

3 = 4

So from now onwards, you can believe that 3 is equal to 4. This is how some of the climate scientists have proved that CO2 is root cause of global warming. And others are believing it blindly. In case of Mathematics, it is easy to find mistake in the proof. But in case of highly dynamic environment science, it is very difficult to pin point a mistake. So mistakes are also followed with same intensity.

All predictions that assume CO2 is root cause of global warming must have failed by now. If not, they will fail very soon. Even prediction of 4o C (4 degree centigrade) temperature increase in next 100 years is also wrong.

The problem is much bigger than that. If we don’t solve or control the problem, its effect will be seen in every part of the world. The extremes of temperature will be stretched by 10 to 15 degree C. The highest temperatures will increase by more than 10 degree C and the lowest temperature will decrease by more than 10 degree C. The durations of seasons will be stretched dynamically. The frequency of these extremes will increase decade by decade.

If you want the proof of my predictions, it is very simple. Take last 10 years data of any 5 regions of the world. It will match with one of them. Otherwise, take next 10 years data of any 5 regions of the world. It will match with at least 3 of them.

Because of the word “Warming”, everybody is trying to predict only increase in temperature and ignoring nature’s ability to reciprocate human changes.

Definitions

Vruxosphere: Atmosphere that trees can access

Gaganosphere: Atmosphere that trees cannot access, atmosphere beyond vruxosphere

These definitions are derived from ancient Indian language Sanskrit. Vruxam means tree. Gaganam means sky.

Solar light and heat

The only external source of heat for earth is solar light. Solar light carries heat and travels millions of miles. It never loses heat on the way. When the light ray is blocked completely, it loses heat. In other words, light ray releases heat when it dies. The molecule that blocks and kills the light ray gains the heat. The molecule that cannot reflect or refract the light gains the heat because it blocks the light ray completely.

Now we see who all can gain the heat from light. Light ray is very thin. It can pass through a molecule if it gets little space between two atoms. So blocking of light depends on the density of the molecules. Density of molecules is very low for gases. So gases cannot block light and gain heat unless there is a direct hit on one of the atoms. The possibility is very low and it is negligible comparing to the number of light rays reaching the earth. Molecular density of liquids is higher than gases. Molecules stay together in liquids. When a light ray hits an atom of a molecule, the molecule gains the heat and evaporates. We consider only water as liquid for our discussions because other liquids exposed to sun light are negligible compared to water on earth. When a top layer water molecule gains heat, it evaporates and become water vapour. It does not depend on the current temperature of the molecule. Water molecule is having a great property of living in vapour state at any temperature. If the light ray misses the top molecule and enters water, it refracts. If a molecule of inner layer gains heat, it becomes vapour, tries to come out, hits other molecules, loses some heat and comes back to liquid state. If the depth of the liquid is low, the refracted light reaches the solid and loses heat or reflects from there. Most of the solids kill light and gain heat unless the solid is fully transparent. Metals reflect light but very less. Only those light rays that hit top level atoms of metals get reflected completely. Once the light ray crosses top layer atoms, it hits inner atom and reflects. But the reflected light ray cannot come back from the same path it has gone. When it tries to move in other direction, it hits other atom and reflects. This process continues till the light gets killed or it gets a way to come out. In this process at every collision, it loses some heat. This is how metal gains heat very quickly though it reflects. Other property of metals is: it loses heat as quickly as it gains. This property holds good for other solids also. Solid loses heat as quickly as it gains.

Properties of water

The natural state of water is liquid. It always tries to stay in liquid state. The great property of water is that it can stay in gaseous state at any temperature. That means it can live as water vapour at any temperature. Water follows few simple rules to change state.

  1. Current state is solid or liquid: water takes gaseous state when it gains heat suddenly i.e. if there is sudden raise in temperature then water becomes vapour.
  2. Current state is solid: with slow raise in temperature, ice melts and takes liquid state.
  3. Current state is liquid: water takes solid state when it loses heat suddenly i.e. if there is sudden decrease in temperature then water becomes ice.
  4. Current state is liquid: with slow raise or slow fall in temperature, water stays in liquid state unless the temperature crosses boiling point or solidifying point.
  5. Current state is gas: water takes liquid state when it loses heat suddenly i.e. if there is sudden decrease in temperature then vapour becomes water. If there is further fall in temperature it gets solid state.
  6. Current state is gas: with slow fall in temperature, vapour stays in vapour state only as water molecule can live in vapour state at any temperature.
  7. Current state is gas: water vapour takes liquid state when it touches liquid water.

How the nature controls temperature on earth

When solar rays come to earth, they cross all gases and come to ground. Before touching ground some of the rays hit leaves of trees. Those leaves consume the light and heat for photosynthesis. Most of the solar rays that hit leaves get consumed as part of photosynthesis. The remaining solar rays reach ground. 2/3rds of ground is covered with water on earth. When a solar ray hits top layer water molecule, the water molecule gains heat, becomes water vapour, comes out of liquid water and travels upward in the air. If the solar ray moves inside the water, the heat is shared among many water molecules. In this sharing if any water molecule gain enough heat to become vapour, it comes out and moves up in the air. If the solar rays hit the solid particles of the ground, solid molecules gain all the heat and lose it to adjacent molecules. If there are any water molecules near that solid, the water molecules gain the heat and become vapour and move upwards in the air. If a solid gains heat, the heat is travelled in all directions till liquid or gas molecules gain all the heat. This way water on the ground or underground water gets evaporated to cool down the solids.

As the vapour state water molecule is excited with heat, it moves up to the top of the atmosphere. On the way if it hits any liquid or solid molecule, it loses some of its heat and stays there. Otherwise, when it stops at the top layer of atmosphere, it loses major part of heat. That heat gets emitted out of atmosphere. When a water molecule loses its heat, it tries to become liquid as liquid is the natural state of water. A single molecule cannot have liquid properties.  It can get liquid properties only by joining other water molecules. When water gets cooled down, it cannot stay in low pressure area. So the cooled down water molecule moves down and reaches the layer where it gets comfortable pressure and temperature. As it is single, it stays in vapour state and looks for other water molecules. All vapour state water molecules tries to live in that pressure and temperature range, they all come together. When the cooled vapour state water molecules come together we see them as cloud. If the temperature on the ground is high, we see these clouds very far from the ground. If the temperature is low on ground, we see the clouds close to the ground. But they cannot get liquid state just by joining together. Vapour state water molecule gets liquid state in two cases: (1) when its temperature reduces suddenly (2) When it hits liquid state water molecule.

When ground cools down, the water clouds come close to the ground. If a wave of cold air from the ground moves up and touches water cloud, some of the vapour molecules lose temperature suddenly and become liquid. Then automatically adjacent connected vapour molecules get liquid state. This will repeat as chain reaction and we get rain. This way the extra heat is thrown out of atmosphere and the water comes back to ground.

This is how our planet is maintaining temperature for millions of years and giving comfortable temperature for life to exist.

How global warming has started

When factories started long ago, the pollution created by these factories had effect on health of employees and people living around the factory. Then they found chimney as the solution. Erected long chimneys on top of factories and felt that pollution problem was solved. They never thought that the pollution they were creating would become the major problem of the world.

How is air pollution causing problem?

Only the factory waste (smoke) that is emitted or blown out into the air is considered for discussion though vehicle exhaust gas and fumes of all fuel burning products also cause same effect. When smoke comes of out a factory, it will have many solid, liquid and gaseous particles in it. The poisonous gases are dangerous for living beings. The particulates are more dangerous than gases. Now we discuss how the solid particulates harm nature.

  1. The heavy solid particles which are emitted in to the air slowly come back to ground because of the gravity. If tree leaves come on the way, these particulates settle on those leaves. Over a period of time, these particulates form a layer on leaves. The process of photosynthesis is hampered because both sun light and carbon dioxide are blocked by the solid layer of particulates. There is more CO2 and heat in the environment as leaves are not consuming them.
  2. As these particulates move along with air, these are consumed by humans and animals while breathing. As these are fine particles, they stick to the inner walls of the lungs or settle down at bottom of lungs. These particulates cause many health problems. The health problems range from simple cold & cough to cancer & death.
  3. Fine solid particulates that cannot come down to ground with gravity stays there and moves along with air. They slowly get attached to other solid particulates and form a solid cloud. This is the starting point of global warming. The solid cloud blocks sun light and consumes heat on top. It also blocks radiation of earth and consumes heat from bottom. As we discussed earlier, solid cannot keep heat with it for a longer time. It loses heat to the surrounding molecules. As these solids are in the air, they cannot transfer heat to water molecules. So the heat is transferred to other gas molecules. With very slow increase in temperature gas molecules are not excited. So the warm gas molecules stay in the same pressure band. Blockage of solar rays on the way is hampering the nature’s cycle of temperature control. As the clouds and their sizes are increasing continuously every day, the air is getting heated up at that pressure range. The cooled down water molecules that are supposed to come back and form water clouds, are staying very far from ground because there is more temperature in the middle layer. The cold air from ground is not able to reach water clouds by crossing the hot air layer. Hence the chance of rain is reduced. Air cannot stay at one place. The hot air moves across the world warming up whole world.

What is the contribution of CO2 in global warming?

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is getting accumulated in the environment because heated CO2 is going out of vruxosphere. The CO2 which lies within vruxosphere can be consumed and converted to oxygen by the process of photosynthesis. Once the CO2 crosses vruxosphere and reaches gaganosphere, there is no mechanism to bring it back or to consume. That’s why the CO2 is getting accumulated in the environment.

Why is CO2 going up? CO2 is generated by burning fuel. Heated gases tend to move up faster to reach low pressure area. As CO2 is heated and excited, it moves upwards very fast and reaches low pressure range. CO2 loses its heat there and stays there. Gases tend to remain in their pressure band and move around the earth. Gases don’t jump from one pressure range to another unless some external force pushes them. Once a gas molecule is moved to another pressure range because of external force, it tries to stay there forever. That’s why all gas molecules are available in all parts of our atmosphere.

One concept of global warming says that CO2 can hold/keep heat with it and with large accumulation of CO2 in the atmosphere, large amount of heat is getting accumulated. Now the doubt is: what is the problem when CO2 does not leave heat from it. Why should environment become warm or hot when somebody holds heat? First of all let us try to answer the question, how does CO2 gain heat? There are only two possibilities. (1) It gains heat when it is created. (2) It gains heat later.

  1. CO2 gains heat when it is created: In this case, CO2 is not the problem. Something is heated and CO2 is created in the process. Along with other gases CO2 also takes some heat and comes out from there. We cannot blame CO2 for the generated heat.
  2. CO2 gains heat later: In this case, the question is, from where/whom does it gain heat? If it gains heat from other gas, liquid or solid molecules, we cannot blame CO2 because heat is already there in the environment. The heat is just getting exchanged from molecule to molecule. If CO2 is gaining heat from solar light and leaving it in the environment then we can blame CO2. This is the commonly told reason of global warming. But gases cannot block solar light and gain solar heat. That too, a colourless, odourless and tasteless gas like CO2 cannot block solar light. If CO2 can gain solar heat then all other gases can also do the same thing. Similarly if CO2 can block Earth’s radiation from going out of environment, all other gases can also do it. Then there is no point in blaming only CO2.

Even before humans gained knowledge, earth had many processes to convert solid & liquids to gases and to bring back gases to solids. With all complex processes our planet used to keep the amount of gas more or less constant. Humans started burning solids as they gained knowledge. The burning increased ever since. Every time we burn solids or liquids, we create lot of gases. If it is one time burn, nature takes care of it. But the burning was continuous and increased every day. So the gas accumulation in the environment was continuously increasing.

In recent centuries, we gained so much knowledge that we could extract the fuels that were hidden deep inside the earth. And started burning all that. As these fuels burn faster and create large amounts of gases, gas accumulation in the environment increased exponentially. The air pressure has increased drastically. There is direct relation between pressure and temperature. Temperature increases when pressure increases. It may be one reason for global warming.

Atmosphere may be expanding because of the pressure. With loss of weight in one part of core and with increase in diameter of the atmosphere, the planet is losing its balance. When these gaps are exposed to solar gravity, some parts of earth moves suddenly. These sudden movements are called earth quakes.

So if we create any gas, carbon dioxide or oxygen or any other gas limitlessly, it disturbs nature. Then, why are we talking only about carbon dioxide? It is because carbon dioxide is occupying maximum percentage of generated gases. Now we understand that quantity is the problem. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is not a problem.

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is an opportunity

Nature likes CO2. CO2 is life for trees. With availability of sufficient amounts of CO2 in the environment, trees can consume lot of solar light & heat and grow faster. With faster growth of trees, they can consume more CO2 and more solar heat. So CO2 cannot create global warming. It can only reduce global warming. Trees create solid fruits and vegetables, solid leaves and branches. That means the transformation of gases to solid accelerates. In this way, over a period of time, earth can stabilize gases to solids ratio also.

It looks very good. But why is it not happening now? Because:

  1. Humans are cutting and killing trees. Reduction in number of trees reduces CO2 consumption and stops further process.
  2. Leaves of living trees are covered with solid dust. There is huge amounts of CO2 and solar light available but not reachable to leaves because leaves are covered with solids. Proper example of starvation. Slowly the leaves and then the trees die.
  3. CO2 accumulation is high only at some parts of the world. If large forests exist very far from CO2 accumulation areas, CO2 consumption cannot happen. Those forests may be starving for CO2 as humans are not allowing even animals to live in forests. Highly populated cities have large amounts of CO2 and less number of trees. Remote villages have forests but less CO2.
  4. CO2 is not reachable to trees. This is the most important point that needs immediate attention. The CO2 molecule that is generated in the process of burning something is highly heated and excited. It moves very fast towards low pressure layers away from the ground. After crossing many pressure layers, it loses heat. As CO2 is a gas, it stays in that pressure range unless external force pushes it. So all heated and excited CO2 molecules move very far from ground and live there forever. Trees can consume CO2 that is available in vruxosphere. So CO2 that has crossed the vruxosphere and reached gaganosphere is not getting consumed. Though we have large amounts of CO2 in the environment, trees are unable to access it.

Many times forests were burnt, volcanoes erupted, why are we not saying global warming is because of them?

When volcano is burst or a full forest is burnt, lot of solid dust raises in the atmosphere and stay there in the air for long periods of time. As we discussed earlier, these solid particles also cause global warming but with a major difference. When the volcano cools down or when the forest is completely burnt, the raising of smoke and dust stops. Now the problem is only with dust that is already pushed in to the air. Over a period of time heavy solid particles slowly settle down on ground. Other particles move along with the air and spreads all over the world. If it rains at one place, all dust particles of that place were cleaned from the air. These dust particles keep moving and gets cleaned at one place or the other. Over a period of one year, most of the dust particles were cleaned from the air. Earth comes back to its normal cycle and maintains temperature.

Why is nature not cleaning human created pollution?

Nature is cleaning human created pollution also. Nature is trying to bring back the normal temperature of earth. But humans are not allowing it to do. Nature generally takes about one year to clean dust from the atmosphere. Before nature starts cleaning yesterday’s pollution, we are adding more today. Addition of daily pollution is hampering nature’s process of cleaning and it is also reducing the nature’s ability to clean the pollution.

Why Ice Mountains are melting with global warming but not with solar heat?

When a solar ray hits a top layer water molecule of ice, it gains sudden heat and changes its state to gas. That means it becomes water vapour. But the temperature is not enough for it to move very far from ground. So it keeps moving as vapour close to the ice. If the vapour hits the ice, it loses heat suddenly and changes its state to liquid and then to solid. If the solar ray hits an inner layer molecule of ice, that molecule changes state to vapour, tries to move up and hits other molecules of ice. When vapour molecule hits ice, it changes state to liquid and then immediately to solid. Hence solar light cannot melt ice directly. It can only create few vapour molecules. But what happens to the solar heat that solar light lost? When an inner molecule gains heat, it loses heat to surrounding molecules. The heat is shared among many molecules. Those molecules share the heat to other molecules. This process continues till the heat reaches top layer molecules. When top layer molecule gains heat slowly, it changes its state to liquid. If the environment temperature is comfortable for water to stay in liquid state i.e. greater than 0 degree centigrade (00 C), it stay in liquid state. With gravity it may flow down. If the environment temperature is less than 00 C then the liquid water loses its heat to other gas molecules and comes back to solid state. Same process happens when vapour state water molecule hits ice. The heat gained by ice is distributed among many molecules and gives slow raise in temperature to top layer molecule.

When warmed up or heated gas molecules come near to Ice Mountains, they warm up the environment slowly. When gas molecules hit ice, ice gains the heat and distributes it to many molecules and creates liquid water. As environment is also warmed up, water stays in liquid state. Liquid water flows down the mountain never to come back. This warming up process happens as long as our pollution continues. But the rate of melting of ice increases every day with the continuous raise in temperature of the globe.

If few solid particulates manage to travel longer along with air and reach ice mountains, they get stuck to ice. In presence of solar light, ice melts faster with solid dust on it compared to clean ice. It is very dangerous because when ice melts and water flows down, these heavy solid particulates again get stuck to the ice that is there at bottom of the flowing water and stay there for much longer time, further melting more ice.

Summary of the problem

  1. Solid dust in the air is causing global warming
  2. Addition of huge amounts of gases in the environment is supporting global warming
  3. As CO2 occupies highest percentage of emitted gases, it is an opportunity for humans to help nature.

Solution

  1. Stop adding solid dust to the air
  2. Cool down CO2 and other gases when generated
  3. Increase number of trees where CO2 production is high

The complete solution that covers all 3 points is given with title, “Simple techniques to clear air pollution and to control global warming” athttp://patentscope.wipo.int/search/en/WO2014006634 and at http://www.google.com/patents/WO2014006634A2?cl=en

This solution clears air pollution caused by factories, vehicles and other products that burn fuel (like generators, etc).

Drought, floods and rivers interlinking

Introduction

Recall the famous saying of Sanskrit literature:

Vroxo raxathi raxathaha – Those who protect trees are protected.

Drought means lack of trees. Drought is caused by lack of trees. If we protect trees, we can come out of drought.

Rain makes land wet. Wet land grows trees and creates clouds. Trees create cool weather for clouds to rain. And the cycle continues. If it does not rain for a long time, land dries. Dry land dries trees also. Then no more clouds and rains. If we cut all the trees, clouds cannot rain. Then land dries. Whether nature breaks the cycle or we break it, there is drought in that area.

If we start the cycle manually, nature takes care of it from then. Instead of adjusting to live in drought conditions, better to change the condition. If we start leaving drought hit areas, after a century, half of the land area of our planet will be under drought. Blaming global warming or local governance is not the solution. We need to follow a step-by-step process to change the situation.

The solution given below can change a drought hit area to a thick forest in few decades. It can create liveable conditions just in few years.

Example: Drought in Somalia, Africa

In the cycle explained above, if we take care of the step to wet the land and grow the trees, nature takes it to the next step of forming clouds. Initially thin clouds will be formed. These clouds help us to reduce temperature in that area by blocking sun light. Once the clouds thicken, it will not have any other choice but rain. Till it rains, we need to keep the land wet and trees alive.

If we can keep the land wet, growing trees is not a problem. Now the only problem is how to keep the land wet for so long time. If we solve this problem, then the big problem of drought is solved.

Sea Water Lake is the solution for Africa problem. The ocean is very close (within 100 KMs) to the drought hit area. So the sea water can be used to improve the condition there.

Select a highest altitude point in drought hit area. Create a big lake there. Fill it with sea water. Create few streams from there in all required directions. As we keep filling the water in the lake, the overflowed water travels through the streams and makes the land wet in those areas. We can plant trees all along the streams. People living in those areas will get bore water.

Now the problem is how to fill the lake with sea water. The lake is very far from the sea and at higher altitude. The problem of distance can be taken care by installing water pipes from the sea to the lake. Height of the pipe at sea should be little more than the altitude of the lake so that water flows with gravity.

Now the only problem remains is how to pump the water so high. We have many solutions for this. I prefer the free infinite energy sources for pumping water. It helps in long run. But, in parallel, we can use costly solutions to get faster results. Some of the energy solutions are:

  1. Tidal wave
  2. Windmill
  3. Solar power
  4. Electricity

Electric water pumps can be used initially to fill the lake. Later the free energy sources can be used to pump the water slowly and continuously.

With this one time installation solution, people and trees in drought hit areas will get drinking water. If the altitude is very high, install multiple lakes in-between and pump water from there.

To reduce sand and salt in the water, for every kilo meter, sand collecting duct is attached to the pipe. As heavy particles settle down in the flow of water, these are trapped in the sand collecting ducts. Periodically these ducts are emptied. Initial few ducts get more sand and later ducts collect salt as salt is also heavier than water. As water travels very long distance, most the salts are filtered. So the percentage of salt in the lake water is very low compared to the sea water. As salt always settles down in still water, the streams will have very less or negligible salt. The water that gets seeped in to the ground will have negligible salt. So the water from the streams can be used for trees and animals. Bore water can be used for humans.

There are some types of trees that can withstand drought conditions. We can plant those trees in huge numbers all over the drought hit area. As we get more water, we can plant other trees. The idea is to make the area green very fast. So that trees can block solar heat from reaching the ground. That helps in cooling the area in the night which in turn helps the clouds to rain.

Other drought hit areas

Find the closest water body for this area. It can be sea, a river or a stream of water. We can follow the same process to pump water. If we are pumping water from a river, the force of water flow can be used to pump water.

Rivers interlinking

Connecting all the rivers may be a big task for the government. But connecting flood hit areas and drought hit areas through water pipes should not be a major task.

Rivers interlinking can be done by building a network of pipes connecting rivers, villages and cities. Also connect heavy rainy areas and low rainy areas in this network. Label rivers, flood hit areas and heavy rainy areas as source. Label drought hit areas, villages and low rainy areas as sink. When one of the sinks needs water, collect water from one of the sources and connect it. When there is a signal of floods in one of the sources, pump as much water as possible from the source and open all the sinks to collect water. Though we cannot reduce affect of floods by pumping out water, all the sinks get lot of water. So somebody is benefitted from floods.

I will give one example to understand how it works. One of the mountain top (heavy rainy area) is connected to this network of pipes. Whenever it rains there, a stream of rain water is directed to the network of pipes. At least one of the sinks gets the water. Usually the water from the mountain flows to a river. But now some part of that water flows to a village (low rainy area) very far from the mountain. Though the villagers don’t see clouds, they get rain water for drinking and for farming. In case of floods, more water can be directed to the network of pipes to control floods.

When floods are expected in one river, we start releasing water to all other parts of the country including other rivers.

Each dam can hold a limited amount of water. The remaining water is released to ocean. With distribution procedure, water from every heavy rain will be reaching many other parts of the country and the water will be getting stored. Total rain water that can be stored and utilized will be very high. Instead of holding all water in a one dam, we are distributing to it to many regions. Every village should have one or more big lakes. When there is heavy rain in one part of the country, all these lakes should be filled as much as possible. Even if we cannot control complete flood, we can utilize flood water to a maximum extent.

Irrigation does not depend on rain. It depends only on water. A drought hit area can be converted to green land by supplying excess water from heavy rainy areas.

There should be a central controlling system for the complete connected pipeline. It should have map of complete pipeline and it should be able to open and close valves of all end points from one place. It should monitor directions of water flow. When there is heavy rain in one region, the direction of flow of water in pipelines should be controlled from one place.

At every end point of pipeline, warning bells will be installed. Before releasing water, warning bells will ring for few minutes so that animals and children playing at empty lake can be taken out.

Advantages of connecting rivers with pipeline

Pipes can pass through villages and cities. They can go around historical monuments and mountains without disturbing them. They can go across roads and railway tracks. There is no need of building bridges. There can be full control to stop or redirect water. There is no wastage of water. This pipeline system can be built in multiple phases. Whole country can be connected with the same network of pipes by extending it to take care of all water issues. Repairs can be carried out locally without affecting other regions.

Disadvantages of connecting rivers on land

If we connect the rivers directly by digging land, risk of floods will be extended to all regions along the new path of the river. As intensity of floods is increasing every year, extending the risks to many more regions may not be a good idea. We need river water in cities but we cannot allow the river to pass through the city. Because of two main reasons, (1) Land acquisition is very costly (2) Fear of floods. The advantages and development expected with river interlinking will be cleaned out with once in a while heavy floods. So the net advantage will be less. Other problem is with powerful and famous people. They try to change the best path of river to avoid their land or to bring the river in their region. With all unnecessary changes, the final river may be more dangerous for many innocent people.

Drinking water

Network of pipes can be used to supply drinking water to many villages. Lot of river water is flowing in to the sea while many villages are struggling for drinking water. Even if daily water supply is not possible, periodically drinking water can be supplied to the worst hit villages. When there is real need, supplying water becomes easy as everything is connected.
